We’ve been waiting for it and talking about it for a long time, but the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe all-terrain SUV is finally officially scheduled to arrive at your Jeep dealer in DDO on Montreal’s West Island next summer. We don’t know its exact price or release date, but what we do know is that this Jeep SUV is the very first to take advantage of Jeep’s new technology. And for those who are concerned that the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe won’t live up to the Wrangler range’s legendary off-road performance, it retains it all.

The new 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe offers a rechargeable hybrid system that not only enhances its performance, but also allows you to lower your running costs. The combination of gas engine and electric motors helps to provide you with more torque and better performance than larger conventional gasoline engines.
A powerful and eco-friendly Jeep SUV
In fact, the 2021 Wrangler 4xe is the most powerful Wrangler ever produced and also the most energy efficient. Its gas engine combined with its 2 electric motors allows you to travel up to 40 kilometers in electric-only mode, and its fuel economy rating promises to stay below 7.0 L/100 km, even in 4-wheel drive mode. Output is rated at 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, figures never before seen in this SUV.
The new Jeep Wrangler 4xe is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder combustion engine, coupled to a starter-generator in the engine bay that alone produces 33 kilowatts or the equivalent of 44 horsepower and 39 lb-ft of torque. Add to that a second, larger electric motor, integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission, which produces 100 kilowatts (134 horsepower) and 181 lb-ft of torque, powered by a battery pack of 17 kWh.
